Dunson : “Ode to My Microphone” Preview [Webisode]
In January, I was given the opportunity headline the popular Sol Village showcase at the legendary S.O.B.’s in New York City. It was a packed house where the amount of support we received was crazy! The band came out for a set where we performed new tracks from the forthcoming mixtape, The Investment. The song previewed in this webisode is entitled “Ode to My Microphone” which is produced by The Phatboiz and will be included on the The Investment. The Atom Evolve crew came along to catch some footage of and leading up to the performance. They threw together a quick highlight reel to show how it all went down.

Kenton Dunson - Beautiful Fight (Music Video)
The theme of this track is universal but it came from a very personal place. I was sitting at a keyboard during a session and started playing with a piano/vocal idea. I didn’t like it after a few listens..so I sampled and chopped it. “Beautiful Fight” was born. I stepped to the mic and went on an honest vent about my venture as an artist. Eventually I found that people could relate it to their own situation. The title itself is oxymoronic but it’s ultimately an optimistic song. This is definitely a fight, but as long as you know why you started it, you’ll figure out how to finish it.
I was fortunate to link up with AtomEvolve, an immensely talented video production crew. They are pure artists. They have the same approach to their craft as I do to my own. They were fans of the music before the video shoot even came into consideration. So this turned out to be an amazing experience where we collectively took the song to the next level.
The “Firestarter” music video has garnered almost 13k views in one week and counting, so here’s a chop up of some iPhone footage of the Baltimore Show!!!

With the continued success of Creative Destruction 2, I am proud to release the official music video for the lead single “Firestarter”. The song ended up in the hands of a Hollywood based production company Burning Phoenix Media and it moved them to create a deep visual interpretation of the song. The video, written and directed by William Bastian II, was filmed in Los Angeles with myself and an amazing cast and crew. I am excited to finally bring visual life to my music as the momentum continues! Enjoy and share!
